Double Trouble

Five Nights at Freddy’s 2, is out on DVD February 17th. The second movie places Mike and his sister Abby in a small suburban house where they are trying to start their lives again, one year after the supernatural events that took place in the restaurant Freddy Fazzbeard’s Pizza.

Synopsis

As Mike and his sister Abby try to pursue a normal life one year after the events of the restaurant Freddy Fazzbear’s Pizza. Abby is looking to find her robotic friends. Vanessa, on her side, tries to detach herself from the memory of her father and the horrible acts he committed. Mike tries to appease his sister by promising to one day, repair her mechanical friends. But it seems that the restaurant where Mike and Abby survived is not the only one in which there would have been a drama.

Back to the beginning

The use of the first restaurant of the chain opens the door to many new possibilities, and for video game enthusiasts, there are more references in the second movie than in the first one. Again under the direction of Emma Tammi, the aesthetics of the film remains which greatly helps with continuity.

Silly violence

If there is one thing that is constant in this film, it is the touches of humor added to acts of violence. No, I am not saying that this justifies the violence used in this film, but for a horror movie, it is rare to laugh after the gruesome end of a character.

Final note

Five Nights at Freddy’s 2 offers us the return of Josh Hutcherson as Mike and Piper Rubio who plays Abby. The whole thing is so perfect, it seems that both have never left their roles since the first film. Without any spoilers, it is easy to believe that there will be a third part to the series.
