Just like clockwork!

One thing we can count on from Ubisoft, is for them to get us moving before the holidays. So before we feast on the turkey and all the sides, that we become as stuffed as the bird, They will get us moving to the rhythm of music and make us break a sweat and bust a move.

The range of difficulties remains, but even if the quantity is pretty much the same, I found this year the selection of songs was pretty limited, or maybe because they mostly feel and sound alike. For any new comer that would not be an issue, but for the returning crowd, this will be definitely noticeable. The addition of the All-Star was appreciated as you get to dance to songs from the previous editions, with 10 years under its belt, it was nice to dance back to some of those classics. Once you make it all the way there will be a new song unlocked for you.

We tested Just Dance 2020 on a PS4, as we had tested the Just Dance 2019 on the same console. The input that can be used on this console are the camera, a mobile device or the PS Move controller. Using a mobile device is possible, but personally, I do not recommend it. While the PS Move controller does have a wrist strap that can prevent your controller flying out of your hand as you are dancing your life away, most phones or mobile devices don’t have any.

The gift machine is back, of course! And this year the addition of stickers that allows you to rebuild artwork from the previous 10 years. You could also get some new avatars, aliases or background images. with all the available possibilities your dancer card can really be one of a kind.

The evaluation copy of the game was provided by Ubisoft, the game was tested on a PlayStation 4 with the PS Move controllers. The game is available on Wii, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and Google Stadia as of November 5th.

Graphic: Cool

The graphics are pretty basic, and that is just perfect. A game like Just Dance 2020 does not require the attention to detail that you would want in a story based game. As long as you can clearly follow the moves of your coach is all the graphics that the player will need.

Music: Flamming Hot

Big hits heaven, many songs from the current artist and some remix with higher difficulty levels, The All-Star mode a great bonus.

Control: Flamming Hot

The game can support up to 6 players locally, unless you have the room for it, I would not recommend it. The last thing someone needs is a mobile device in the head. So far I tested with  a second player and we had no issue with the PS Move controller.

Deployability: Flamming Hot

There is always someone saying that they can beat your score, once you eliminated everyone in your friends and family, you are ready to take on the world.

Overall: Warm

The game remains one of the most popular party game that everyone can play. Unfortunately the way it is presented 10 years later, it lacks on improvement. For the future version it would be great if we could purchase specific songs from the catalog, without the need to subscribe to Just Dance Unlimited or propose a selection of songs that would be added on a periodical basis keeping your game fresh with new content.
