On Aprils 5th, the the video game MLB The Show 22, will be breaking yet another barrier, as it will now also be available on the Nintendo Switch.
The baseball sport game from the San Diego Studio that has been the exclusivity of PlayStation since 2006, showed some openness last year by expanding the diversity on to which console the game could be played, and it was the pleasure of baseball fans to see the game being made available to the Xbox One and Xbox Series game console, But it did not stop there in 2022, the game will also be launched for the Nintendo Switch. But does it stops there? No the game also promises cross-platform playability which will allow you to compete against your friends, but to push the envelop even further, cross progression. Therefore your character created for Road to the Show, will b able to progress and use what was acquired from one console to another, this will of course requires the owners to purchase a copy of the game for the different consoles they want to play on.
This year on the cover, you will find Shohei Ohtani of the Los Angeles Angels, the player with great statistics, such as a 100 RBI, 29 stolen bases, 9 wins, 2 losses and an ERA of 3,18 on the mound, this player represent the diversity also found in the MLB and the expansion outsides of the Americas which in turn make the title of the World Series more appropriate. And on the subject of changes the MVP Edition of the Game will have a different cover, showing the interest in Manga of Shohei Ohtani, the artist Takashi Okazaki created an Animé representation of the athlete.
The game will be available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series and Nintendo Switch, for the new generation of consoles the MSRP is 89,99$ CAD, for the previous generation and the Nintendo Switch the MSRP is 79,99$ CAD. The MVP edition, the Physical copy MSRP is 109,99S CAD as well as the Digital version, the Digital Deluxe MVP Edition MSRP is 129,99$ CAD.
