Playstation PSVR2

The Playstation PSVR2 headset has been available since February 22nd. The kit of the Headset and VR2 Sense Controllers allows the player a whole new immersive gaming experience in the universe.

Notable changes

For the owner of the previous version of the PSVR of rthe PS4, they will notice the diffrence quickly between the two versions, first and foremost, the new headset connects directly to the console via a USB-C connector, next is that this time the camera is located in the headset itself, therefore the addition of a camera to follow the head movement is not longer required. This also allows the player to turn on the camera and see where the are in the room without removing it. In the headset itself the lenses track the eye movement of the player which is used for selections. For the controller, the change is not only esthetic, but the change from wand type to a glove/handle feels more natural, for boxing or shooting.

A step back for some

Yes the headset is still using a wired connection to the console, but this time it is connected directly in the console, no longer requires the extra box. As for the adjustments, it is pretty much the same. The system does again veers off center but by turning on the camera it is easy to see where we are located and as before it is simple to center back.

Add-on

For those that plan on getting the PSVR2 system, I strongly recommand to add the charging base for the VR2 Sense Controllers, not only is it very useful but it also fit well in with the decor.

Grade

The VR addition to the PS5, even if only compatible with the latest console remains a good leap in the virtual reality for the gaming consoles. The price ticket can be steep for low budget gamers. For those that can splurge I definitely recommand getting it.
