As if X games were not crazy enough!
The game Riders Republic offered a free testing period of 4 hours from October 21st to the 27th and as of launch day, October 28th, the progress completed during the free period was kept and you did not have to start from scratch.
If you look a Riders Republic and say to yourself that the game is somewhat familiar, well you are not alone thinking this. Personally I think that Ubisoft took out the blender and put Steep and The Crew 2 in the mixer and added a sprinkle of insanity to the mix. My reasoning is quite simple, in the Steep you would ride the snowboard in different locations and tried to get points by performing tricks, in The Crew 2, you were approached from the get go, to take part in different type of races, earn points and go up the ladder and challenge the boos of the said discipline, and you would use a map to travel from event locations to even location or simply discover certain places. Well the same scenario, map and discovery is included in Riders Republic. the difference it is not the entire USA but 7 National Parks that have been merged into a single map for this game. These park are Bryce Canyon, Yosemite Valley, Sequoia Park, Zion, Canyonlands, Mammoth Mountain, and Grand Teton. Some Mac owners will recognize some of the locations that the MacOS got their names from i.e. Yosemite, EL Capitan.
The disciplines for this game are , snowboard, skiing, mountain bikes, wingsuit, rocket suit. So far nothing very exciting, but then you add that touch of craziness, finding some relics, which can be a pair of old wooden skis, or even a pizza delivery bike and go downhill using those items, and you can even add some crazy clothing, even a mascot head. So far, it is wacky, but when you add other players to the mix, it can become fully insane, and going down those trails with other players trying to push you off course can be quite challenging. And don’t forget your camera, there are plenty of pictures to be taken as many of these place offer stunning view, but stay alert because you do want to take part of the Mass Race where with many other players you are put to the challenge to a series of races, will you come on top or finish in the bottom?
The review copy was provided by Ubisoft, the test were completed on the PlayStation 5. The game is available on Ps4, Xbox One, Xbox Series and PC. If you are looking for a little or a lot of craziness to add to your gaming routine, Rider Republic is Flaming Hot and deserve to spend the time in it to discover what it has to offer.
