Third time is a charm

The Last of Us Part I is like a granted wish for me, after I had completed The Last of Us Part II, I was looking back and thinking to myself, I wished they had done the first one like this. They do say careful what you wish for, in this case it was a good surprise.

The original game was released in 2013 on the PS3, it was remastered for the PS4 and now on the PS5. Using the technical achievements applied to The Last of Us Part II, the original story can now be enjoyed. If you played the previous version on PS3 or PS4, this new adaptation is worth the time and money, not only do you get the original game but this one also includes the DLC Left Behind. And if you think because you played the original game that you will speedrun this one in no time, you are mistaken. The game does not only look different some changes to the mechanics were also applied, including and not limited to weapon upgrades.

Many games now will go and try to be revived, some succeed others just crash and burn. Some games do age well, while others just look like Hollywood stars with facelift and injections. To me this game is a 5 Alarm Fire, because when you take the time to use what was successful on the second installment of a game and come back to upgrade the previous one, you have to care of what you put out there.  As the game is for now a PlayStation exclusive, the tests for the review were done on the PlayStation 5, and the physical copy of the game was provided by Sony Interactive Entertainment Canada.
