Sucker Punch Productions – Ghost of Yotei Complete Edition

Atsu’s full revenge

Ghost of Yotei the complete is the second game from Sucker Punch Productions set in the feudal Japan, and after the success of Ghost of Tsushima, the bar was set high   for this opus released last October 1st, exclusively on Playstation 5.

Synopsis

Left for dead on the tree of his family’s land, Atsu left the island of Hokkaido. After a few years, she returns home to take revenge on the lot of people who killed her family. She finds her native land caught in a conflict with the band leader of her parents’ murderers and the forces of the Shogun.

A sequel?

The events of Ghost of Yotei occur more than 300 years after those of Ghost of Tsushima, so there will be no meeting between Atsu and Jin Sakai. On the other hand, Sucker Punch Productions has not forgotten what made the first game successful and built on it. It is even possible to find a trace of the samuraï.

Taking full advantage of the dual sense

Just like in its predecessor, the touchpad is widely used in Ghost of Yotei. Salutations, taking out your weapon, playing music. This time, however, we’re adding elements to the game. As for the camp, we light the fire, using the pavement, and blow to ignite the straw. For the artistic side, Atsu indulges in the art of sumi-e, or drawing with Japanese ink, which requires the player to trace the movement to complete the drawing. As well as when she plays the shamisen, to place her fingers in the right place.

And there is more

As it was for Ghost of Tsushima, the Legends portion was added to the game after release, and with Ghost of Yotei Complete Edition, the adventure continues with Echoes of Sekigahara, where Atsu must find Nagato the Handsome or if you prefer to hone your combat skills Survivors is perfect for that.

Final note

Ghost of Yotei Complete Edition is a must for a gamers collection, the visual, the storyline, the action and some puzzles are excellent and hours of gaming can be achieved from it. I had enjoyed the game when it came out, but the complete edition reminded me, why I enjoyed it some much, this game like Sucker Punch Productions is a true Five Alarm Fire.
