From MMO to Solo
Crimson Desert from Pearl Abyss Corp. the development studio behind Black Desert created this open world single player game with a very huge map of Pywel for them to explore.
Synopsis
After your camp is attacked and you are left for dead, you rise from the water, with a very specific goal, reclaim what was once you land. But to do so, you will need to find your comrades and rebuilt your forces. To achieve that you will need to work for the lords of the area and make alliances.
Overwhelming at first
The tutorial quest line can take up to twelve hours to complete, as the game does not forces you to complete these quests. You are able to explore and perform other quests in this large land. Since it is a real open world, you are able to travel across the land as far as you want. The regions are not level based, therefore the land is fully open from the start.
Discovery
There are quest boards in many area of the land and you can also pick up bounty posters. Some treasure can easily be found as others are well hidden behind some intricate puzzles. Many of the puzzle will use a mix of visual and sounds for you to solve them.
Final note
Crimson Desert is a hundred plus hour game, you do not get in this game and expect to beat it in just a few hours. The size of the map, the quantity of enemies, places to explore, quest to complete are numerous. This game is a definite 5 ALARM FIRE for me, it is shameful that many reviewers gave it a bad score, because it was difficult at the start. As players get to explore the game more and more, we see the appreciation they have for a game that was release with its full content and not kept for a DLC. For the fan of Black Desert, there are rumours of a multiplayer online update for this game, but we will have to wait and see. In the meantime if you enjoy large fantasy world open for adventure, look no more this game is what you need.
